Meir Block is the Administrator at St. Patrick's Home, a dedicated and person-centered leader who truly values residents and their families. With a deep appreciation for the long-term care population, Meir enjoys building meaningful connections, often sitting down with families and residents to get to know them personally. He is always happy to assist with any challenges that arise, ensuring a supportive and compassionate environment. His passion for quality care and genuine dedication make him a beloved leader in our community.

Dr. Carl Franzetti
Medical Director
Dr. Carl Franzetti is the Medical Director at St. Patrick's Home, bringing decades of dedicated experience in long-term care. A board-certified family physician practicing in the Bronx, New York, Dr. Franzetti is affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital. Recognized for his exceptional service, he received the Outstanding Service Award from St. Joseph's Medical Center in November 2011. Known for his compassionate care, Dr. Franzetti is greatly respected by residents, who love him, and we are privileged to have him leading our medical team.

Veronica Franklin Simon, RN
Director of Nursing
Veronica Franklin Simon, RN is the Director of Nursing at St. Patrick's Home, bringing many years of extensive experience in long-term healthcare. Known for her strong, disciplined approach and holistic philosophy towards resident care, Veronica is highly regarded by residents who cherish her genuine compassion and leadership. She has held numerous roles including Staff Educator, Infection Control Specialist, and Project Coordinator in Continuing Care, demonstrating her deep knowledge and versatility. In addition to her professional expertise, Veronica is actively involved in community work and charitable initiatives. Her leadership and dedication make her a vital part of our team, ensuring the highest standard of care for our residents.

Staffing and HR
As a Human Resources and Staffing Coordinator at St. Patrick’s Home, I'm dedicated to supporting our mission of providing exceptional care and service to our residents. With a passion for building strong relationships and fostering a positive work environment, I specialize in recruitment, staffing, and employee relations. My commitment is to ensure our team has the resources and support they need to deliver compassionate care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Director of Environmental Services
Anthony Cintron dedicated professional with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in leading housekeeping departments. Specializes in creating positive work environments through effective staff training, coaching, and development, resulting in a highly motivated and efficient team. Adept at cultivating strong relationships with guests and staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service delivery that directly contribute to positive reviews and customer loyalty.

Janet Kibassa
Pastoral Care
Janet Kibassa, MS, CTRS, has dedicated over two decades of compassionate service to St. Patrick’s Home, beginning her career in March 2003 as the Director of Therapeutic Recreation & Volunteers. In this role, she expertly managed programs aimed at promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of residents. Janet was responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising staff and volunteers, overseeing budgets, coordinating social activities, and facilitating community engagement events. Her efforts fostered a vibrant, inclusive environment that prioritized safety, satisfaction, and holistic care for a diverse population of residents.
In June of 2024, Janet transitioned into her current role as Director of Pastoral Care, where she develops and implements programs to meet the spiritual and religious needs of the residents, regardless of faith background. She leads worship services, prayer groups, and music programs, while providing individual visits and spiritual guidance, especially during times of crisis or end-of-life. Janet also supervises staff, trains Eucharistic Ministers, and ensures compliance with professional standards and ethical practices. Her initiatives include establishing interfaith services and expanding cultural inclusivity, exemplified by the addition of a Spanish-language brochure and marketing materials aimed at welcoming new residents and encouraging participation in faith activities.
Throughout her tenure, Janet has exemplified unwavering dedication to the mission and values of St. Patrick’s Home, fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere that residents, staff, and families cherish. Her deep relationships with those she serves reflect her genuine commitment to compassionate care and community building. Outside of work, Janet enjoys spending quality time with her family, singing, gardening, and watching sports, embodying the joyful spirit she brings to her professional life and the lives of those around her.

Wanda Maldonado
Infection Preventionist
Wanda Maldonado is the Infection Preventionist at our facility. She is a certified professional with extensive experience in infection prevention and control. Wanda is dedicated to ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and staff by implementing best practices and maintaining strict infection control protocols. Her expertise and commitment play a vital role in safeguarding the health and well-being of everyone in our community.

Juvie Quintero, PT, DPT
Director of Rehabilitation Services
I have been practicing as a physical therapist for 21 years across various medical rehabilitation settings. I briefly served as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation at St. Patrick before being promoted to Director of Rehabilitation in October 2024. This leadership role has been incredibly rewarding, as it allows me to apply my leadership skills, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of our rehabilitation team.

Angela Carter
ADON, Educator
Angela Carter is our Staff Educator, specializing in training and professional development for our team. With her expertise and commitment to excellence, Angela ensures that staff are well-prepared and informed about best practices, policies, and the latest industry standards. Her dedication to education helps foster a knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate team, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided to our residents.

Vanessa Silva Rodriguez
Food Service Director
Vanessa Silva Rodriguez is the Food Service Director at St. Patrick's Home. She brings extensive experience in nutrition and food service management, ensuring that residents receive nutritious, appealing, and well-balanced meals. Vanessa is dedicated to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and her leadership helps create a warm and supportive dining environment for our residents. Her commitment to excellence plays a vital role in promoting the overall well-being and satisfaction of those in her care.

Joachim Bernal
Lead Registered Dietician
Joaquin Bernal is a NY State-Certified Registered Dietitian with over five years of experience helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals. Motivated by passion for empowering others, Joaquin takes a personalized approach to nutrition, meeting people where they are and guiding them toward sustainable results.
Outside of work, Joaquin enjoys playing guitar, lifting weights, long walks in the park, and of course, cooking and sharing good food (ask him about his steak and mashed potatoes). An avid traveler, he has a personal goal of visiting and hiking every U.S national park with his wife.

Jeremiah Germain
Assistant Director of Nursing
With many years of experience in long-term care. He brings deep clinical expertise, strong leadership, and a proven track record of improving care quality and operations. Jeremiah is committed to creating a safer, more compassionate environment at St. Patrick’s, always seeking ways to support staff development and enhance resident well-being. Known for his dedication, mentorship, and collaborative approach, he is highly respected by both colleagues and the residents he serves.
